DEFINITIONS
Some capitalised words in this summary mean the following:
Us, We and Our means Phoenix Education.
You or Your means a student of Phoenix Education, or their parent or guardian if the student is under 18.
Services means the educational services we provide.
a Term at Phoenix Education is defined as per our Phoenix Education calendar. A Term is 10 weeks for Year 1-11 student and 12 weeks for Year 12 student. For Year 1-11 student, a Term excludes all school holidays. For Year 12 student, a Term includes most of school holidays.
Eligibility
In order to use the Service, you must:
be a student from a school
provide true, complete, and up-to-date contact and billing information;
be at least eighteen (18) years old; or if you are under the age of eighteen (18) you have a permission from your parent (or legal guardian) to use her/his credit card (or other payment instrument)to pay for the Service and she/he on your behalf.
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet all the requirements listed above.
When you sign up for the Service (eg, enrolling to our courses) , you agree to the following:
Fees and Charges Policy
All fees are collected in advance of the Services.
You may pay for the Services either as:
(a) Term Payment Option.
(b) Upfront Yearly Payment Option - You pay for the Service Fees in full upfront.
Upon enrolment or re-enrolment, your initial term payment will be for 10 weeks if you are in Year 1-11 or 12 weeks if you are in Year 12. Your second term invoice will be adjusted to reflect the overpayment from the initial term.
If you elect the Upfront Yearly Payment Option, your payment will be pro-rated based on how much of the year remains.
We will re-enrol you for the following Term unless notified by you. A re-enrolment confirms a student’s enrolment. We will issue you next Term invoice before the end of the current Term and the fees are immediately and fully payable at or before the end of the current Term.
All new enrolments will incur a once off administrative fee of $20.
A material fee of $30 per period is charged to each student. The material fee covers the resources that are provided to students, including internal work booklets as well as additional resources to support their assessments and learning at school.
In your first invoice, the Enrolment Fee of $50 covers both administrative fee and material fee.
Where any fee is overdue, your enrolment may be suspended at the discretion of management until the enrolment fee has been settled.
Phoenix Education reserves the right to vary its fees at any time without notice.
Cancellation Policy for Group Lesson
Student Absence:
No credit or refund, either in whole or in part, will be provided if a student is absent due to any reason such as illness, leave, enrolment suspension, or termination.
Cancellations or Changes by Phoenix Education:
If a lesson is postponed or changed by Phoenix Education due to an event (e.g., teacher’s illness, natural disaster, power outage, outbreak of contagious disease, pandemic, epidemic, etc.), the lesson will be rescheduled or postponed to a later date where possible.
Alternatively, online learning materials may be provided to substitute the affected lesson. No credit or refund, either in whole or in part, will be provided in this regard.
Cancellation Policy for Private 1-on-1 and Private Group Lessons
Notice Requirement:
A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for the cancellation of private 1-on-1 and private group lessons. The lesson will be rescheduled to a different day and time within the same term.
Private Group Lessons:
If one of the students cancels a private group lesson, the lesson will be canceled. However, if the other students wish to continue, the lesson will proceed, and the student who cannot attend will forfeit the lesson.
Less Than 24 Hours Notice:
If the cancellation notice is given with less than 24 hours' notice, the lesson will be forfeited without the option for rescheduling or credit.
Cancellations by Us or the Tutor:.
In the rare circumstance where the tutor is unable to make the lesson but provides adequate notice, we will attempt to find a qualified substitute to cover the lesson. The lesson will proceed as scheduled with the substitute tutor, or if a substitute is unavailable, the lesson will be rescheduled or credited.
This policy is designed to ensure fairness to our tutors and other students and to maintain the quality and scheduling of our lessons.
Credit Notes Terms and Conditions
Credit is issued when the requirements meet the Cancellation and Refund Policy for Private 1 on 1 and Private Group Lesson.
Credit is not redeemable for cash and are non-refundable.
Credit will be automatically applied to your next invoice on the invoice issued date.
All Credits issued are valid for 12 weeks from the issue date.
At any time, and for any reason, we may provide a credit. The amount and form of such credits, and the decision to provide them, are at our sole and absolute discretion.
The provision of credits in one instance does not entitle you to credits in the future for similar instances, nor does it obligate us to provide credits in the future, under any circumstance.
Student Code of Conduct
We are committed to providing safe, supportive and responsive learning environments for our students.
Students are expected to:
Attend all lessons in which they are enrolled
Arrive for class on time
Be prepared for every lesson by completing your weekly homework
Actively participate in learning
Strive to reach high but realistic goals
Respect other students, their teachers and all Phoenix Education staff and show courtesy in all interactions
Follow the classroom rules and follow the directions of Phoenix Education staff
Dress appropriately and neatly
Respect Phoenix Education premises and property
Phoenix Education has a zero tolerance stance in response to behaviour that is detrimental to self or others or to the achievement of high quality teaching and learning.
Student Drop Off and Pick Up
Phoenix Education is committed to providing a secure environment for students. Parents/guardians are responsible for the safe and timely drop-off and pick-up of their children. Parents/guardians consistently late in picking up their children may face additional fees or a review of the student's enrolment status.
School Holiday Course Terms and Conditions
Short holiday courses are one off courses where the course only runs for a relatively short period (usually 1 to 5 days during school holiday) and there is no continuance upon the completion of the course. The definition of “Term” doesn’t apply to school holiday course.

There is no automatic re-enrolment towards the end of the School Holiday Course.
Administrative fee and material fee don’t apply to School Holiday Course.
Free Trial Lesson Terms and Conditions
This promotion is only available for new students who have never previously enrolled in the same subject at Phoenix Education.
Free Trial is only applicable to group lesson and subject to lesson availability.
Free Trial is not applicable to private 1 on 1 and private group lesson.
External Examination Results
Phoenix Education may request students to provide school exam results, HSC results, photographs and ATAR. Phoenix Education reserves the right to advertise names, results and photographs for promotional purposes.
Beyond our Control
We won’t be held liable for any delays or failure in performance of any part of the Service, from any cause beyond our control.
We may modify these Terms and Conditions at any time, and as such modification shall be effective immediately upon posting of the modified Terms and Conditions on this website.
